Ukraine had a constant burning sensation on her back, her once well-kept short blonde hair was now scraggy and patchy, and she had a metallic taste stuck in her mouth.
The Chernobyl disaster had hurt Ukraine in more ways than anybody could have imagined, not just physically, but mentally as well. She thought that she was alone before, but now she begged to god that she could soon return to those days.
Her house was under quarantine, men in HAZMAT suits were keeping guard around the confides of her home. Belarus and Russia, the only family she really has, were not aloud to visit until the government felt that it was safe.
Ukraine hated this, in her eyes this was no way to live. It was the same routine every single day; she’d wake up, she’d make breakfast, she’d do nothing until she was tired, and then she’d eventually cry herself to sleep. It has been like this since the day she was quarantined.
Unbeknownst to Ukraine, however, today would be different. She wasn&
